Determination of
Final Grade
Each of the 4 lab exams will count 18% toward your final lab average. Any exam not taken will receive a grade of "0". No grades are dropped when calculating course average.
The average of Mastering A&P (MAP) assignments will count for 18% of your final lab average. Assignments complete after the due date will have a late penalty assessed. Assignments not completed will receive a grade of "0". No assignments can be completed after 12/2.
The remaining 10% of your lab grade will be a "daily grade" determined by attendance, daily participation, daily quizzes, and daily work, etc. If you are late to lab or leave lab early, you will lose points from your daily average.

Calculating your LAB Average:
Lab Extra Credit = (RLB quiz/20) + (Orientation & Course Policies quiz/20) + Group Project
Lab Average = (((Lab Ex1+Lab Ex2+Lab Ex3+Lab Ex4+MAP average +Extra Credit) / 5)* 0.9) + (Daily grade average * 0.1)

Course Policies
Instructor Policies Please read the Orientation and Course Policies documents posted on the course website for a full list of course procedures and policies.

Exams in this course will be ONLINE and will require the installation of Respondus Lockdown Browser on any computer you use to take them. MOST VERSIONS OF CHROMEBOOKS ARE NOT COMPATIBLE WITH RLB AND THUS CANNOT BE USED TO TAKE EXAMS. It is the responsibility of the student to have a functioning computer and internet in order to take exams prior to their due date. LSCPA computer labs are available for use for exams as well as for online homework assignments.
Exams not completed by the end of the availability dates will be available for the following TWO days with an incremental time penalty assessed. Exams not completed will receive a grade of “0”.
MAP assignments completed after the due date will have a late penalty assessed. MAP assignments not completed at all will receive a grade of "0".

Any changes in the schedule will be emailed out. Please check your LSCPA email on a regular basis. When emailing me, please include both the course and section number in the subject line. If you use the "Send Email" link on the course website, these will automatically be included in the subject line. Please be specific in your emails. I can't answer questions or attempt to solve problems unless I know all the specific details of the question/problem. If you wish to request a zoom meeting, email me a specific day and time and I will email you a link for a meeting.
Attendance Policy Attendance to the lab is required and it is NOT possible to attend a different lab or make up a lab on your own. There will be a sign in sheet on the front table that you will need to sign as soon as you enter lab. Once the lab instruction begins, the sign in sheet will be removed. If you leave lab early, you will lose points for the day.

Some labs will have a "pre-lab" and/or a "post lab" quiz or some other type of graded activity which will count towards your "daily" lab grade. Handouts/lab assignments for all labs are posted on the course website.
These contain information about the lab topic, indicate the sections of the lab workbook assigned for that lab, references to images posted on the course website, as well as questions over lab content. These lab handouts are designed to provide you guidance on what to study. They are not submitted for grading. Videos are posted for some labs (especially muscle and special senses).

You may email me at any time with questions. If you wish to have a virtual office visit, please email me a specific day & time and I will email you a zoom link.
Academic Honesty Academic honesty is expected from all students, and dishonesty in any form will not be tolerated. Please consult the LSC-PA policies (Section IX, subsection A, in the Faculty Handbook) for consequences of academic dishonesty.
